The Prime Minister warns police officers who abuse their authority

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Sen warned police officers and military police that, no matter how high the position, he would withdraw them from their posts if they abused their power.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction's meeting on the work results for 2022 on the afternoon of December 27, 2022. Prime Minister Hun Sen issued a guarantee to a staff member from Bayon TV after hearing the news that the staff member had been arrested on suspicion of being involved in a US $36 million scam.

At the same time, PM asked his lawyer to help defend this employee while asking the police to work properly.

He said: "No matter how many stars you have, I can still remove you."

The Prime Minister stated that abusing power will harm the image of the royal government, particularly the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister stated that he will follow this case to its conclusion.
